John always liked to draw – reliable sources have it that he started drawing before even learning how to write. A huge fan of animation he decided to pursue it as a career as soon as he graduated from High School. But since animation wasn’t very big in Greece at the time he instead chose to study Graphic and Architectural Design.

Fate had it though that in 1991 California Institute of the Arts accepted John in their Animation Department where he studied and graduated with a BFA. As a student he loved the story and pre-production stage of animation and film so since 1996 he has been involved in doing exactly that. Be it a commercial, TV animated series, video game, animated or live action feature he thrives in being part of the creative collaborative team that shapes the early stages of the product.

He currently resides and works in Bay Area, CA as an Art Director but being a true artist he always looks forward to a new challenge and place within the creative world…
